Peer Review Process for Article Submission
Once an author submits a manuscript, the editorial office sends an acknowledgment email confirming receipt. This email includes an estimated timeline for the review process.
The editor conducts a preliminary assessment to ensure the manuscript fits the journal’s scope and meets basic quality standards. Manuscripts that do not meet these criteria are rejected without external review.
If the manuscript passes the initial screening, the editor identifies and invites 2-3 expert reviewers with relevant expertise to evaluate the paper. Reviewers are given a set timeframe (usually 2-4 weeks) to complete their review.
Reviewers assess the manuscript based on originality, methodology, clarity, significance, and adherence to ethical standards. They provide detailed comments and recommend one of the following: accept, minor revision, major revision, or reject.
The editor reviews all reviewer feedback and makes a decision. The decision and anonymized reviewer comments are communicated to the author, along with any required revisions.
If revisions are requested, the author revises the manuscript accordingly and submits a response letter detailing how each comment was addressed.
Revised manuscripts may be sent back to the original reviewers or new reviewers for further evaluation, depending on the extent of revisions.
Based on the reviewers’ recommendations and the revised manuscript, the editor makes the final decision: accept or reject. The author is notified accordingly.
Accepted manuscripts proceed to copyediting, formatting, and final publication.
